Biography

I was born in April 1973 in Freiburg in Germany. During my years in highschool I was mainly interested in Skate- and Snowboarding and any other youthculture that is related to it. After finishing school (1994) I traveled through the US and Canada for one year and worked as a freelance illustrator for different snowboard companies. Back in Germany I decided to study graphic design at the Grafik Schule Freiburg, but realized soon that it was not what I was looking for.

In 1997 I started studying at the Academy of Art and Design in Offenbach/M Germany. While I was still working graphically at the beginning, I became more and more interested by moving images and the media video. In 2000 I obtained an Erasmus scholarship to study at the Facultat de Bellas Artes in Barcelona Spain. After I graduated with a Diploma in Art and Design in 2005 I recieved a Grant by the Künstlerhilfe Frankfurt to do my MA in Fine Arts at Goldsmiths College, London, where I graduated in 2007. In 2008 I moved to Berlin, where I presently live and work.
